Baloch Pull both tracks opens for traffic after 15 hours

Karachi: Both the tracks of Baloch Colony Pul (Bridge) have been opened after almost 15 hours hiatus.

The oil tanker which faced accidents was removed from the bridge after being empty from oil.

The jet fuel present in the oil tanker was transfered to the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) tankar.

A fire brigade vehicle stood at the spot to deal with any untoward incident. While Police and Rangers heavy contingents were also present.

In a late night horrific accident an oil tanker fell over a vehicle killing a driver on Baloch Pull in Karachi.

According to rescue sources, the car was lifted from the oil tanker with the help of heavy machinery. The body was shifted to a near by hospital just after retrieved from the car tanker.

The harrowing incident occurred at the Baloch colony bridge late night. The oil tanker owing to fast speed fell over the car near by passing the tanker.

All the rescue organizations including Rescue 1122 and fire brigade reached the spot as they got information of the accident.

The car was totally flattened owing to felling over of the oil tanker on it. Initially the rescue volunteers could not determine number of people in the unfortunate car.

As many as 30 volunteers took part in the rescue operation.

On the other hand, oil tanker has enough quantity of kerosene oil in it. Owing to felling over the car, the kerosene oil was constantly leaking from the tanker.

There is a danger of eruption of fire owing to leakage of kerosene oil. Despite danger of fire eruption Rescue 1122 and other organizations continued rescue work.

After much efforts, the rescue volunteers saw a body in the car and car was lifted from the oil taker. After opening of the car existing body was lifted by cutting the some parts of the car.

The body was immediately shifted to the hospital while dead man identified as Asad Ali Zaidi of age 48-years- old.

The oil tanker could not be removed until morning which caused a massive traffic jam from Drig Road to FTC or Gora Kabristan.
