Balochistan is Pakistan’s source of pride: Field Marshal

RAWALPINDI: During the 17th National Workshop on Balochistan held at GHQ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, engaged with participants and shared his insights.

In his address, the COAS emphasized that Balochistan stands as a proud pillar of Pakistan, inhabited by resilient, patriotic, and vibrant communities who are its most valuable asset. He praised the ongoing development projects led by both federal and provincial governments, aimed at transforming the socio-economic landscape of the region through initiatives centered on the people’s needs.

Highlighting the province’s vast economic potential, the COAS urged efforts to harness these opportunities for the benefit of Balochistan’s residents. He acknowledged the significant contribution of civil society, especially the youth, in fostering sustainable development and urged their active participation, while cautioning against political vested interests that could hinder progress.

The COAS also addressed security concerns, specifically mentioning Indian-backed proxies such as Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khawarij, which promote violence and anti-people agendas. He assured that Pakistan is actively taking measures to counter these threats and eliminate terrorism from the region.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, the COAS stated that any violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity, whether direct or indirect, will be met with a strong and resolute response aimed at protecting its citizens’ safety and sovereignty.The workshop concluded with an open Q&A session, reflecting a spirit of candid dialogue and mutual understanding.
