Quetta: Baluchistan capital Quetta’s Rail connection with the country has been restored after hiatus of an eight-month Jaffer Express train inaugurated today.
Governor Baluchistan Abdul Wali Kakar and DS Railway Fareed Ahmed inaugurated the Jaffer Express train containing nine bogies. After the inauguration the train carrying 850 passengers left for Peshawar from Quetta.
The bridge, near Mach area at the destination of Herak, which was destroyed owing to rains and floods in August last year, has been constructed.
The bridge was constructed with a whopping amount of Rs 650 million in a duration of eight months. After which Quetta’s rail connection with all the countries restored.

It is pertinent to mention here that the bridge which had constructed in the British reign was collapsed in the month of August last year 2022 owing to stormy rains and floods.
