Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday apprised the nation that a ban on national carrier Pakistan International Air Line and another airline of Pakistan has been lifted.
In his message on X, the Minister informed that European Commission and European Aviation Safety Agency have lifted the ban on PIA for its flights to European country.
He said that with lifting of the ban PIA and Air Blue have been allowed as third country operator.
He said that today is a historic day which was made possible owing to the ministry of aviation complete concentration.
The ministry of aviation worked for making the Civial Aviation Authority (CAA) strong, he said.
Moreover, protection vigil has been ensured as per the standard of the international civilian aviation organization.
European Air Safety Agency (EASA) has formally informed regarding lifting of the ban in its letter to the PIA and CAA.
