ISLAMABAD: In a diplomatic effort to bolster regional cooperation, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, the Chief of the Bangladesh Air Force, paid a courtesy visit to Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan, at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad.
The meeting focused on enhancing military collaboration, discussing current regional security challenges, and exploring new avenues to deepen bilateral defense relationships. During the talks, the Pakistani Naval Chief reaffirmed Pakistan Navy’s dedication to maintaining maritime stability and peace within the region through various ongoing initiatives.
Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Navy and expressed his country’s interest in expanding joint training programs and increasing high-level military exchanges. The two leaders emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation to promote mutual security interests.
This visit marks a significant milestone in the strengthening of Pakistan-Bangladesh defense relations, coming after Admiral Naveed Ashraf’s visit to Dhaka in late 2025, which was seen as a step toward closer military ties between the two neighboring countries.
