DHAKA: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Wednesday changed the team’s kit for upcoming World Cup 2019 following the criticism from fans.
The national flag of Bangladesh is red and green, but the Tigers’ jersey unveiled on Monday was predominantly green with a touch of white.
The BCB approached the International Cricket Council (ICC) to seek their approval before making the change.
“Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) spokesman Jalal Yunus said the ICC, cricket’s world governing body, had originally asked it to drop the red colour due to “commercial complications”, but relented following a subsequent request from the BCB.”

“It made the jersey green and white. But people wanted a touch of red in the jersey. So we requested the ICC again and they accepted our request,” he added.
It must be noted that the much awaited World Cup will start from May 30 in England and Wales.
