Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has revised office and banking hours for Ramadan-ul-Mubarak 1446 A.H., which will be followed by all banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) across the country.

As per the directive, the office hours for banks and financial institutions during Ramadan will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday) and 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays, with no breaks during working hours.

For public dealings, business (banking) hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Monday to Thursday) and 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays. This schedule aims to facilitate customers while accommodating the shorter working hours observed during the holy month.

The SBP has confirmed that after Ramadan, all banks and financial institutions will automatically revert to their pre-Ramadan schedule.

The adjusted hours are intended to ensure smooth banking operations while catering to the convenience of both employees and customers during the fasting month.
