Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has pronounced verdict in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) intra-party elections according to which the party failed to hold transparent elections in the party.
The five-member bench of the ECP headed by Nisar Durrani announced the judgement.
The ECP in its verdict directed the PTI to hold an intra-party election within 20 days and submit the results of the election after one week of election.
If the PTI not hold the intra-party elections action will be taken against it.
The verdict added that the bat symbol will remain with the PTI’s election symbol.
