Karachi: Bearish trend gripped the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday as benchmark Karachi 100 index degraded one level after reaching 1,57,554 points.
The market witnessed a decline of 482 points at the end of the market closures.
On the other hand, overall 483 companies transacted their shares today while the shares of 209 companies went up while 252 companies shares declined.
On the last day of the trading, Friday, the 100-index of the PSX gained 83.90 points closing at 158,037.37 points.
A total of 2,047,812,574 shares valuing Rs.69.273 billion were traded during the day .
As many as 486 companies transacted their shares in the stock market; 189 recorded gains and 266 sustained losses, whereas the share prices of 31 remained unchanged.
