London(June 18, 2018): Doctors and the Sharif family were unable to come to a decision regarding the removal of ventilator support of Begum Kulsoom, the wife of former Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif, who was shifted to intensive care late Thursday after a cardiac arrest.
While speaking to media about Begum Kulsoom’s critical condition outside the hospital earlier on Sunday, Hussain Nawaz, Sharif’s elder son, said his mother was “unconscious”.

The doctors are making every possible effort to help Begum Kulsoom recover, he said, adding that he hoped that his mother would get better quickly.
“InshAllah, her health will improve soon,” Hussain said.
In his comment to reporters, while leaving the clinic, Nawaz said Begum Kulsoom was still unconscious and on the ventilator. He said he was praying to Allah for her quick recovery.
Earlier, Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam delayed their return to Pakistan owing to the continue deteriorating condition of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz.
Both could not appear before the accountability court on the scheduled hearing of June 19.
Sources said the former premier, who reached London along with his daughter on Thursday to see his ailing wife, was advised by doctors to delay his return to the country — which was initially planned for today.
According to sources, the counsels for Nawaz and Maryam will submit an exemption from appearance request in the accountability court of Islamabad hearing corruption cases against them.
Talking to media, the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said on Sunday that when he reached in the hospital his wife, Kalsoom Nawaz, was on the ventilator and she is still on life supporting machine.

Talking briefly to media while leaving the hospital, ex-premier said, “He prays for his health, however, the things happen as per the order of Allah.”
“Almighty Allah may give health everyone,” he said.
Talking on the occasion, Maryam said that she pray deep heartedly for mother’s health.

The wife of former premier was re-admitted to the hospital on Wednesday. She was taken to emergency unit last night as her condition deteriorated.
Begum Kulsoom was rushed to the ICU where she collapsed as she suffered a cardiac arrest. Hospital sources have said that she is being kept under intensive care/close monitoring.
