WEB DESK: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says, “If Hamas does not return our hostages by Saturday afternoon, the ceasefire agreement will be terminated and the IDF will resume fierce battle that will be fully defeated by Hamas.
Israel’s Prime Minister has issued a warning to Hamas, stating that Israel will end the ceasefire in Gaza and resume intense fighting if Palestinian hostages are not released by a set deadline. The ultimatum demands that Hamas return all hostages by Saturday noon.
Benjamin Netanyahu announced that he has directed Israeli military forces to gather both inside and around Gaza. This decision comes in response to Hamas’s recent statement that it is delaying the release of additional hostages until an unspecified time.
Netanyahu did not clarify whether his demands included the release of all 76 remaining hostages or just the three scheduled for release this Saturday; however, a minister stated that he was referring to “everyone.”
Hamas reiterated its commitment to the ceasefire agreement, holding Israel accountable for any potential complications or delays.
Netanyahu said that if Hamas did not release the hostages until 12 pm on Saturday, the ceasefire would be terminated and the Israeli army would launch intense attacks on Gaza, which would continue till the defeat of Hamas.
