Better and cheap goods being provided to public in Ramadan: Nazeer Soomro

KARACHI: Zonal Manager of Utility Stores Corporation in Karachi Nazeer Soomro has claimed that better and cheap goods are being provided to people during the month of Ramadan.

Addressing press conference along with Assistant Commissioner South Irfan Islam, Nazeer Soomro said that Federal government has allocated 1.75 billion rupees for Ramadan package. He said that Chana pulse is being sold at 120 rupees per kilo on Utility Stores, which is being sold in market by 160 rupees per kilo, while a discount of 50 rupees is being given on tea, 10 rupees on milk carton, while 8 to 10 rupees on syrups. On this eve Assistant Commissioner South Irfan Islam said that strict action will be taken against those selling goods on prices above government assigned rates.

Meanwhile, people said that goods on Utility Stores are substandard and most of the basic need goods are not available at the stores.
