MUZAFAR GARH: Chairman of PPP, Bilawal Bhutto, has called for the forgiveness of electricity bills for farmers affected by the floods.
Speaking with flood victims in Thatha Sial area of Muzafar Garh, Bilawal Bhutto urged that the electricity bills of farmers should be waived and that farmers be provided with seeds and fertilizers to support their recovery.
Bilawal also suggested making an appeal to assist flood victims, emphasizing that this is not a time for political point-scoring. He stated that it does not matter where the affected individuals are from; supporting the people during difficult times is everyone’s responsibility.
He reiterated his call for the government to declare an agricultural emergency and stressed that the federal government must work in coordination with provincial authorities. He highlighted that the Benazir Income Support Program is an effective means to ensure proper aid reaches deserving flood-affected families.
