Islamabad: Vice-president of Pakistan People Party (PPP) Sherry Rehman on Sunday demanded Speaker National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser to call session of the lower house on March 21.
Senator Sherry Rehman said that the speaker can’t violate the constitution for wait to complete his party numeral position.
Senator Sherry Rehman said that the Speaker is bound to call the NA session within 14 days of requisition.
She said that the opposition requisition period will end on March 21 adding that delay in the calling the session will be violation of the constitution. She said that the Speaker has no space to delay the NA session .
The woman senator said that the party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari demand to calling NA session and bring no confidence motion in its agenda is justified and constitutional
.
She alleged that the Speaker is playing a role of activist of the ruling PTI instead of custodian of the house.
The Speaker should not play a role of tiger force of the PTI to save the premier, doing this he will be convicted of destroying the constitution and article 6 will be applicable on him.
Ex ambassador to Pakistan in the USA, she said that Supreme Court also ordered that no-confidence motion should be held according to the constitution adding that the speaker should not break the constitution to save the premier
