During his Lahore visit, Bilawal engaged with a diverse group including parliamentarians, ticket holders, prominent journalists, business leaders, legal professionals, student organizations, and PPP workers. The trip also witnessed a surge of new members joining the PPP, a move seen as a result of Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan’s proactive efforts, which Bilawal commended for their role in strengthening the party’s foothold in the region.
In meetings with party leaders, Bilawal directed office-bearers and lawmakers to gear up for a strong performance in the upcoming local government elections and indicated that he plans to return to Lahore soon. Supporters from the PPP youth wings the PYO and PSF cheered him with slogans envisioning him as Pakistan’s future prime minister, while several students announced their official affiliation with the party.
Governor Saleem Haider highlighted that Bilawal’s visit had revitalized party enthusiasm, emphasizing the importance of spreading his message throughout Punjab’s communities and localities. Addressing the crowd, Bilawal urged other political parties to operate within constitutional boundaries and warned against any threats to national unity, promising a firm response if such challenges arise.
He also committed to touring Punjab extensively “street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood” to better understand and address public issues, encouraging PPP workers not to feel isolated. Additionally, Bilawal praised the governor for transforming the Governor’s House into a more accessible, community-focused institution.
