ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has refused to accept the resignation of Yousuf Raza Gilani from the post of Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
According to sources, the PPP Chairman appreciated the statement of the former prime minister in the Senate. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that Yousuf Gilani s services for democracy are a shining example for democrats.
Bilawal added that PPP is the only party whose representatives are accountable to themselves. Yousuf Raza Gilani has always fought for democracy. Until he endured the hardships of imprisonment for the crime of public service.
He further said that Bilawal Bhutto regretted the biased attitude of Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani towards the SBP Amendment Bill and said that the Chairman Senate had passed the SBP Amendment Bill in collusion with the government.
