LAHORE: 28th Birth anniversary of famous poet, scriptwriter and dialogue writer Masroor Anwar being observed today.
Masroor Anwar was born on January 5, 1944 in Shimla. In 1962, he wrote songs for his first film Banjaran, but he got his real fame from the songs of Waheed Murad’s film Heera Aur Pathar, followed by Masroor Anwar, Ahmed Rushdie. And Sohail Rana came up with a team that created several super hit songs.
On the occasion of the war of 1965, the soulful songs of Masroor Anwar warmed the blood of the entire nation, who can forget the songs like Sohni Dharti when the song was created in the voice of Mehdi Hasan.
Masroor Anwar’s film Armaan, released in 1996, is of great importance, with every song becoming a super hit, including songs like Koko Koreena After the decline of the film industry, he gradually disappeared from the scene, but in several films he rekindled the magic of his art, in which the film Mushkil Ka Geet Dil Hoya Hai Tera Deewana was a hit.
