Amsterdam (August 31, 2018): Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders has cancelled the planned blasphemous caricature competition that sparked protests in the Muslim world.

“The threats resulting from the cartoon contest are running out of control,” Wilders said in the statement he also shared on his Twitter account.

Whereas Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan has called for the expulsion of the Dutch ambassador as it launched a protest against the cartoon competition on Wednesday.

The premier said that people living in the western countries don’t understand the feelings and religious sentiments of Muslims, “because we have never tried to explain to them how we value our religion”.

PM Khan urged all Muslim countries to use the platform of the United Nations to convey to the western world how Muslims feel when their religious sentiments are repeatedly hurt.

In his video message, the premier also announced that Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has already started to get in touch with the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) members.
