Bodies of four miners retrieved from a mine in Sanjdi area of Quetta

Quetta: Bodies of four miners retrieved from a mine who were died after blast in a mine in Sanjdi suburban area of Quetta.

Chances of being alive of other eight miners stuck in the mine are very thin. The rescue services are hampered owing to carpeting of other electricity line and owing to removal of debris.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) rescue operation is underway to save miners trapped in mine near.

According to PDMA, four bodies have been recovered out of a total of 14, while efforts continue to locate the remaining eight individuals.

Rescue teams have cleared debris to a depth of 3,600 feet to access the area.

Yesterday as many as 14 miners had stuck in a coal mine in Quetta .These miners were stuck in the mine owing to a blast last night.

According to Inspector mines Balochistan Abdul Ghani Baloch, the way of the mine was completely closed owing to the blast while after hours of efforts debris removed from the way of the mine.

However, due to the blast electricity cables were cut after reomoving the debris electricity cables are being carpeted.

Rescuers will reach to a position where miners were working through a trolley after the carpeting of the cables

According to Balochistan government spokesman, Shahid Rind, the blast happened owing to the gas filled in the mine.
