WEB DESK: Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor suffered a toe fracture during a shoot, leading to the temporary suspension of filming.
According to Indian media reports, Shraddha was filming an extended dance sequence when she fractured her toe. She was dressed in a Nauvari saree with traditional jewelry for the dance number.
During one of the dance steps, she accidentally shifted all her weight onto one foot, lost her balance, and got injured.
Director Laxman Utekar immediately stopped the shooting; however, Shraddha insisted that the unit continue working. Even after returning to Mumbai, she went on to shoot close-up and emotional scenes on the Madh Island set.But after a few hours, the pain intensified, and the team was eventually forced to halt the shoot completely.
“Aitha” is a film based on the life of Vithabai, Maharashtra’s renowned dancer, actress, and Tamasha artist, who holds an iconic place in the state’s cultural history.
Indian media reports that attempts were made to contact Laxman Utekar regarding the matter, but no response has been received so far.
