Mumbai: Bollywood mega star Salman Khan advocated use of environmental friendly material of making of ganesh idols.

The Bollywood star Salman Khan attended an event of Divyaj foundation of Amruta Fadnavis in SVP stadium in Mumbai.

Known for his devotion, Salman took a moment to make a heartfelt wish to Lord Ganesha. A video that has since gone viral shows the actor gently picking up one of the Ganesha idols at the event and whispering a prayer into the idol’s ears.

His gesture has won the hearts of many fans who look up to him not just as an actor but also as person who values traditions and spirituality.

Salman, who is known to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with great enthusiasm every year, shared that his family always opts for eco-friendly idols.

He emphasized the importance of purity in the festival, saying, “Humare parivaar mein jab hum Ganesh ji laate hai ghar pe, toh hum eco-friendly hi late hai. Itna pure festival hai, usme impure Ganesh? Ganesh ji ko bhi pure hona chahiye na.”

The Bollywood super star said that the time has come we teach our elders to become earth friendly. He said that use soil and other environmental friendly material for making of ganesh idols.

He criticized the use of ganesh idols made from Plaster of Paris said that there are difficulty in the melting of these idols and also difficult to clean its remains.

Salman Khan said that one should also avoid using plastic bottles and cups while he said that neither he will throw the dirt nor he will allow other for doing so.

Having title “Children say Moria “event under the banner of Divyaj foundation were attended by other famous actor and actresses of the Bollywood which included Sonaley Bandray, Sono Nigum , Kilash Khair and the foundation head Amruta Fadnavis.

The event urged the citizens to be environmental friendly and participation of the community for follow the practices.
Amruta Fadnavis said that we have started the campaign with children so that they follow principle of environmental responsibility.
