RIYADH: British ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Simon Paul Collis embraced Islam and performed Hajj along with his wife Huda Mujarkech.
According to Arab media, Simon Paul was appointed ambassador to Saudi Arabia in January last year. Diplomatic circles already knew that he had embraced Islam but he did not announce formally.
Saudi journalist Fauzia Al-Bakar shared the pictures of Simon Paul and his wife performing Hajj.
Among the first who congratulated the ambassador and his wife was Prices Bisma-bint-Al-Saud.
Paul refused to give interview but said that he had been ambassador to Muslim countries for 30 years. Paul said that he had embraced Islam before mirage with Huda.
Simon Paul is the first ever British ambassador, who had embraced Islam and performed Hajj during service.
