RAWALPINDI: Bushra Bibi, spouse of Imran Khan, received medical attention at Adiala Jail after experiencing vision-related issues in her right eye, according to jail authorities.
Sources said she was examined on Saturday afternoon by Dr Muhammad Arif Khan, head of the ophthalmology department at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, inside Central Jail Rawalpindi.
Medical officials revealed that Bushra Bibi had been facing symptoms including blurred vision, flashes, and dark spots for nearly 11 days, along with recurring headaches.
Following the check-up, doctors diagnosed her with posterior vitreous detachment (PVD), as well as myopia and astigmatism.
She has been prescribed medication, eye drops, and corrective glasses, while doctors have advised a follow-up examination in four weeks to monitor her condition.
Earlier this year, Imran Khan also underwent a minor eye procedure, which was later confirmed by Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, who said the treatment at PIMS was carried out with his consent and lasted around 20 minutes.
