By-polls on LB seats in 24 districts of Sindh including Karachi To be held tomorrow


Hyderabad/Sukker/Matiari/Sanghar/Karachi: By-elections on local bodies vacant seats in 24 districts of Sindh will be held tomorrow (Sunday).

The polling will start from 8 am in morning and will continue uninterrupted till 5 pm in evening.

As per the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) the by-elections will be held on 65 seats of different categories which included 11 seats of union council chairman and vice-chairman in Karachi and 15 seats of ward member.

On nine seats of chairman and vice-chairman of union committees in Hyderabad and polling will also be held on five seats of ward general member.

Moreover, by elections on chairmanship will be held in union council bigee of Sukker tehsil of Panu Aqil. While all the 12 polling stations of Panu Aqil and Rohri have been declared sensitives.

Furthermore, elections will be held in union council number 16 of Nobat Muree in Mattiari. On the other hand all the preparations have been completed for by election in one ward of union council Jatia town, Shahdadpur tehsil of Sanghar while seven candidates are contesting elections in the by polls of this seat.

Additionally, by elections will also held on ward number 4 of Union Committee 5 of TMCHM Khawaja in Nawabshah.

The Election Commission has completed all preparations for holding of the by-elections while the process of transportation of election materials have also been completed.
Jamat Islami (JI), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) and independents candidates are contesting the by-elections.
