ISLAMABAD: Recent developments have brought forward sensitive details about the assault on Cadet College Wana, with security sources confirming that all terrorists involved were Afghan nationals and that the operation was coordinated across the border.
Officials have disclosed that the attack was carefully planned in Afghanistan and carried out under the directive of Khawariji Noor Wali Mehsud. Throughout the operation, the attackers reportedly acted on instructions relayed from Afghanistan.
The responsibility for strategizing the attack has been linked to Khawariji “Zahid,” while “Jaish-ul-Hind” publicly claimed accountability for the assault, allegedly under orders from Noor Wali Mehsud. According to sources, this claim was intended to redirect focus away from Fitna-ul-Khawarij Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), as repeated references to “Jaish-ul-Hind” were made in a video recorded during the attack.
Further investigation revealed that the Afghan Taliban has reportedly exerted pressure on Fitna-ul-Khawarij to conceal their actual identity amid growing scrutiny from Pakistan and its allies. Security forces intercepted audio evidence where the attackers spoke in Urdu, invoking “Jaish-ul-Hind” multiple times to mask their real affiliations.
It has also been confirmed that all weapons and equipment used in the attack, including American-made arms, were provided from Afghanistan. Officials believe the assault was intended to escalate security concerns in Pakistan, allegedly under directives from India’s intelligence agency RAW.
The identities of the Afghan terrorists killed during the assault have now been verified, dispelling earlier uncertainties. Under the National Action Plan and Azm-e-Istehqam operations, security agencies have pledged to pursue and eliminate all individuals involved in such militant activities.
In related news, security forces have arrested key suspects linked to the recent suicide bombing at Islamabad’s Judicial Complex. Both the facilitator and handler behind the attack are now in custody and have been moved to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
Investigators revealed that the facilitator had been residing in Rawalpindi for the last month and was apprehended during a raid in Dhok Paracha. Meanwhile, the handler was captured in a separate operation conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
