CANADA (TORONTO): A shooting in the neighbourhood of Lawrence Heights near Toronto has resulted in one killed and 6 others injured.
According to Canadian media reports, police have not disclosed any information about the suspect.
Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow expressed concern over the incident on social media platform X (twitter), stating that the shooting is disturbing.
She further mentioned that, her office is in contact with Toronto Police and local councillor Deputy Mayor Mike Colle, who are currently at the scene investigating.
Mayor Olivia Chow also thanked the Toronto Police and paramedic services for their prompt response in a very busy and challenging situation.
At the end of her post, she said that Toronto Police are working to provide updates on the progress of the case soon.
