Karachi: Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Maqbool Baqer has decided to hold safety audit of commercial as well as the government buildings in Karachi
The CM has directed to complete the audit within 30-day and ordered to submit the report.
The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), Civil Defense, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) and respective twons will jointly conduct the safety audits.
The report will compile on basis of availability of fire extinguishing equipment or its non existence in the commercial and government buildings.
The interim CM has given the safety audits of the commercial and government buildings in view of recent fire at the multistorey shopping mall, RJ at Rashid Minhas road in which 11 people were burnt to death and several others injured.
