CDF Asim Munir celebrates eid with troops in Kurram, praises their resolve

KURRAM:  Syed Asim Munir spent Eid ul Fitr 2026 with frontline troops in Kurram, where he joined officers and soldiers in offering Eid prayers and prayed for Pakistan’s continued peace, stability, and prosperity.

During his visit, the army chief conveyed heartfelt Eid greetings to the personnel and applauded their dedication, strong morale, and professionalism in defending the country, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.

He commended the courage and determination of the soldiers, highlighting their performance in Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, which focuses on eliminating terrorist elements and restoring long-term stability in sensitive border areas.

Reiterating Pakistan’s stance on security.

Field Marshal Munir stressed that militants operating from safe havens across the border in Afghanistan would not be allowed to threaten national peace. He emphasized that Afghan territory must not be used for hostile actions against Pakistan.

Acknowledging the sacrifices made by the armed forces, he credited recent operational gains to the bravery of martyrs and the unwavering commitment of troops serving the nation.

Upon arrival, the army chief was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar, as he reaffirmed the military’s resolve to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
