As per detail, the delegation of K-Electric headed by Chief Executive Officer K-Electric Munis Abdullah Alvi have met to Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar, The delegation thanked the Prime Minister for solving the long standing problems of K Electric.
The delegation thanked the Prime Minister for the Rs 390 billion investment plan for K Electric and approval of rates for 640 MW of renewable energy projects and provision of 1000 MW of additional electricity.
Uninterrupted power supply to Karachi will be ensured with the mutual cooperation of the government and K Electric, and the Investors have received a positive message from these measures, the delegation’s conversation with the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Energy to find a permanent solution to other problems of K Electric through mutual consultation.Purchasing power of electricity consumers and their welfare should be the focus of the policy.
The delegation included Chief Executive Officer K Electric Monis Abdullah Alvi, Chief Finance Officer K Electric Amir Ghazini and Regulatory Officer K Electric Imran Qureshi. The meeting was attended by Federal Energy Minister Muhammad Ali, Chairman Nepra Waseem Mukhtar, Chief Executive Officer Central Power Purchasing Agency Rehan Akhtar and other senior officials.
