KARACHI: A water pipeline burst in Block-19 Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city after which it is expected that several blocks of the area will have to suffer water shortage in upcoming days.
According to Karachi Water Board officials, the 84-inch water pipeline burst due to the negligence of K-Electric who used heavy machinery while working at the site.
Various blocks of the area including Jamshed Town are likely to face water crisis due to waste of several lac gallons of water.
Complete repair of the pipeline is expected to be concluded by tomorrow as work has already begun at the site.
