Islamabad (June 2, 2017): Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Friday termed National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) data of tax defaulters as myth, saying that if there is any such data exist the Board will take action from today.
The Senate Standing Committee of Finance met here with Senator Mandviwalla in the chair. During the meeting PTI Senator Azam Sawati said that Nadra had data of 38 lakh tax defaulters, but FBR was not taking any action against them.

Upon this chairman FBR said that this data was a myth and they had come to know about it through newspapers. He further said that Nadra had not yet shared this data with FBR.
He added that they were not given this data by another institution other than Nadra.
The Board Chairman said: “if this data was given to us we will start taking action from today.”
