ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza is currently on an official visit to the Maldives, where he held discussions with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
As reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), their meeting focused on topics of shared interest, global and regional security dynamics, and collaboration in the areas of defence and security.
During his visit, General Mirza also engaged in talks with Minister of Defence Ghassan Maumoon and the Chief of Defence Force. Both parties reiterated their resolve to strengthen military ties between Pakistan and the Maldives and to further enhance defence cooperation.
Maldivian civil and military leaders commended the professional excellence of the Pakistan Armed Forces and recognized the nation’s significant contributions and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
Upon his arrival at the Maldives National Defence Force Headquarters, General Mirza was accorded a guard of honour.
