LAHORE: Chairman Lahore Board and Controller of Examinations were suspended for not maintaining transparency in matriculation examinations.
According to the notification, both the officers were suspended for not maintaining transparency in the matriculation examinations. On the instruction of the Minister of Education, the Commissioner was given the additional charge of Chairman Lahore Board.
According to the sources, the education minister was angry with the board officials due to the cheating in the examination centers in the matriculation exams.
Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said that this measure was necessary to ensure transparency in the exams, copying in the exams is unacceptable, he will go to the last extent to ensure the transparency of the exams
