Rawalpindi (October 06, 2017): Chairman National Accountability Bureau Qamar Zaman Chaudhry on Friday paid a farewell visit to NAB Rawalpindi office.
During the visit, the chairman of the top anti-graft body was given a briefing on the performance of the Bureau’s Rawalpindi Office. Chaudhry was accompanied by Deputy Chairman NAB and Director General Operations.
Upon reaching NAB Rawalpindi, the Chairman was given a guard of honor. Chairman Nab addressed the officers of the bureau.
Qamar Zaman is is going to retire as chairman NAB on October 10, 2017.
He has already paid farewll visits to Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Sukkur, Karachi and Lahore.
It is to be mentioned here that Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqab Abbasi have met several times to hold consultation, which is mandatory as per the law, over appointment of chairman NAB.
On Friday, Shah held another meeting with the PM over the NAB chief appointment which lasted for one hours and ten minutes. Following the meeting, Shah said that the meeting was held in cordial atmosphere and hoped they would agree on a name to be appointed as Chairman of the Bureau.
