Champions Trophy Ceremony held at Lahore’s Shahi Qila

LAHORE: The ICC Champions Trophy ceremony was held at Lahore’s Shahi Qila. The event, held at the Dewan-e-Aam of the Shahi Qila, was attended by ICC and PCB high officials, as well as members of the Pakistani team that won the Champions Trophy in 2017.

The ceremony was also graced by Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, Provincial Minister for Sports Faisal Kohkhar, and other dignitaries.

In his speech, Mohsin Naqvi warmly welcomed the 2017 Champions Trophy-winning Pakistani team, stating, “Four teams have already arrived in Pakistan, and the Australian and English teams will be here in 48 hours.”

He mentioned that they had put in a lot of effort for the event, upgrading the stadiums in record time, and praised the workers involved in the upgrades for their hard work.

He also stated that they had hosted a three-nation tournament, and the ICC team oversaw the arrangements. He commended the ICC team for their efforts and said, “Now it’s time to fill the stadiums and enjoy the event.”

At the ceremony, renowned singer Atif Aslam performed the official anthem of the event, and the event concluded with a magnificent fireworks display.
