Karachi (August 14, 2017): Elegant change of guard ceremonies were held at the mausoleums of Founder of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah here and Poet of East Allama Iqbal in Lahore earlier this morning as the nation celebrates the 70th Independence Day of the country with traditional fervor and enthusiasm.
In Karachi, a smartly turned-out contingent of t Pakistan Navy cadets clad in immaculate whites, assumed ceremonial guard duties with traditional spirit and enthusiasm. Pak Navy took over the guard duty from the cadets of Pakistan Military Academy.

The chief guest of the Change of Guard ceremony Commandant Naval Academy Commodore Adnan Ahmad laid down the wreath of flower on the Quaid’s mausoleum.

Meanwhile, an elegant Change of Guard ceremony was held at the mausoleum of Poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal here. A smartly dressed contingent of Pak Army took over the duty from Punjab Rangers during the elegant ceremony.
A flower wreath was laid on the mausoleum of the great poet on behalf of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa by Garrison Commander Lahore Major General Amir.
