ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Yahya Afridi, departed this morning for Hajj, sources
He is expected to return on the fourth day of Eid. During his absence, Justice Munib Akhtar, being third in seniority, will take the oath as Acting Chief Justice.
The oath-taking ceremony will be held in the Judges’ Block Committee Room at 02:30 PM.
Additionally, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail will administer the oath to the Acting Chief Justice.
Meanwhile, Senior Puisne Judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah is also abroad.
