South Waziristan: A unique heist took place in South Waziristan on Thursday when robbers escaped with 23 sacks of chilgoza (pine nuts), worth Rs12m million in total.
The incident occurred at a warehouse in Rustam Bazaar on Wana Bypass road.
According to trader, approximately 12 suspects wearing masks scaled the walls of the warehouse, took the guard and workers present in the warehouse, hostage at gunpoint and fled away with 23 sacks of pine nuts worth 12 million rupees.
FIR has been reported against the accused and the interrogations are underway, District Police Officer Atiq-ul-ah said.
