KARACHI: A delegation of Chinese company Changyi Kangjie Sanitation Engineering Company called on Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah here on Friday.
During the meeting, the chief minister was briefed about the mechanical sweeping machines.
According to Chief Minister House spokesman, the Chinese company will carry out cleanliness and garbage lifting in Karachi’s District South and East. The delegation briefed the chief minister that company will start lifting garbage from homes, mechanical sweeping of roads and dumping of garbage by the end of January or first week of February.
The waste will be compressed at landfill site. The company also offered to generate electricity from solid waste. It is to be mentioned here that the Chief Minister is in China to attend CPEC meeting.
