Islamabad: The Chinese medicine company Sinopharm has put forward its request to provide coronavirus vaccine to Pakistan.
The Sinopharm has handed its application for provision of coronavirus vaccine to Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP). The Chinese company also provided details of the clinical trials along with its application.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Sinopharm has manufactured vaccine for coronavirus with the cooperation of the Chinese government.
Sources said that the DRAP meeting to review the application of the Sinopharm will be held next week wherein the decision will be taken to buy or not to buy the vaccine.
Pakistan has signed an agreement with the Chinese companies to buy 1.2 million vaccines in the first phase.
