Chiniot (June 18, 2017): The severance of fibre cable has resulted in the suspension of PTCL’s telecommunication services here.
The suspension of PTCL’s service in turn has resulted in the suspension of all telecommunication services including such vital emergency phone helplines like Rescue and Police.

The main fibre line of the PTCL was damaged during some construction work.
The spokesman of 1122 Rescue service Muhammad Ali has issued a mobile phone number (0344)1011122. The people are advised to make the call on this number for seeking help during any emergency situation.
Meanwhile, the banks and their ATMs are also not working properly because their links are also being severed.
PTCL authorities informed that the works to repair the fibre line has started.
