The dignitaries acknowledged the invaluable role played by the Christian community in strengthening the nation and praised their unity and cooperation with the Pakistan Army.

During the event, the Governor and the Corps Commander met members of the Christian community and conveyed warm Christmas greetings. They emphasized that interfaith harmony and national solidarity are Pakistan’s greatest strengths.

Addressing the gathering, Pastor Asif Jan stated that the sacrifices of martyrs form the cornerstone of national cohesion. He described the ceremony as a meaningful moment to recognize and remember the selfless contributions of those who laid down their lives for the country.

The leadership reiterated that both the Pakistan Army and the provincial government remain fully committed to promoting unity, safeguarding citizens, and ensuring inclusive development.

Separately, the Balochistan government, in partnership with the civil administration, Pakistan Army, and FC Balochistan, is actively implementing a comprehensive development drive across the province. Under the Balochistan Special Development Initiative (BSDI), work on numerous projects is progressing rapidly.

Through district-level committees, delayed schemes are being identified and approved in line with public requirements. A total of 969 development projects across 35 districts have been included in the BSDI framework.

In FC Balochistan North alone, projects worth Rs8.705 billion are currently under execution. So far, 44 projects have been completed, work has commenced on 75, while 90 others are nearing completion.

The Chief Minister of Balochistan and the Quetta Corps Commander have directed that all projects under both phases be completed by May 30, 2026. The Program Implementation Unit (PIU) is ensuring strict oversight to maintain quality, transparency, and timely delivery.

Residents have expressed satisfaction with the progress of BSDI initiatives, noting that coordinated efforts between civil and military institutions have introduced a new momentum to development in the province. According to locals, BSDI has emerged as an effective and transparent model for sustainable development in Balochistan.
