ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Sindh High Court Ahmed Ali Sheikh has written a letter to President Dr Arif Alvi informing him that he will not attend the swearing-in ceremony today.
“The notification of my appointment has no legal status,” he wrote. He also wrote a letter to Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed informing him that he would not attend the swearing-in ceremony.
Chief Justice Sindh High Court wrote that it is illegal to issue notification of ad hoc appointment without my consent.
The text of the letter states that he has also written to the Judicial Commission apologizing for the ad hoc appointment.
