ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), paid a visit to Air Headquarters in Islamabad on Tuesday, according to an official statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
Upon arrival, he was received by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force. A contingent of PAF personnel rendered a Guard of Honour in honor of the distinguished visitor.
During the visit, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Sidhu praised General Mirza’s exemplary contributions and his crucial role in enhancing joint military cooperation. He also acknowledged the significant efforts made by the CJCSC in bolstering national defense and reaffirmed the Pakistan Air Force’s commitment to work in close coordination with other services to combat terrorism.
General Mirza expressed his satisfaction with the PAF’s operational readiness and the progress made through ongoing modernization and upgrade programs. He commended the professionalism and dedication of PAF personnel in defending Pakistan’s airspace and highlighted their important role in the country’s counter-terrorism efforts.
The CJCSC also appreciated the effective coordination among the tri-services and expressed optimism that this collaborative spirit would continue to grow in the future.
