The Chief Justice of Pakistan has declined to form judicial commission to probe allegations appeared in Panama papers saying the Term of References (ToRs) are incomplete, unclear and the investigation would take years.
The government had sent a letter last month to registrar Supreme Court for the inquiry of allegation leveled on PM Nawaz Sharif family in Panama leaks but at the time CJP was on abroad trip that has delayed the answer from chief justice but now he refused to form commission saying that till the finalizing of ToRs from both the parties the commission could not be formed.
The CJP said in replying letter that it would take years to complete investigation accordance with the ToRs sent by the government as the details of the families and individual should also be provided and after receiving information supreme court would decide the fate of the commission.
According to registrar supreme court has informed the government about the refusal by the chief justice.
