ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan scheduled to hold a key meeting today (Thursday) to discuss the administrative management and operational efficiency of Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs).
The primary focus of the discussion will be on improving the management and functioning of these specialized courts, which handle cases related to terrorism and national security. The session aims to identify ways to streamline processes and address challenges in the timely adjudication of cases.
In addition, the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) set to convene on November 8 to review ongoing complaints concerning judges and members of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). This meeting will examine grievances related to the conduct, performance, and possible misconduct of judicial officers and ECP members.
Both these initiatives are part of broader efforts by the judiciary to enhance transparency, accountability, and the overall effectiveness of Pakistan’s legal system.
