Clean Khi Drive: PTI Workers’ Sloganeering Bars Zaidi from Continuing Address

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi had to leave his address on ceremony organized to commence ‘Clean Karachi’ drive, in the middle after workers of PTI continuously chanted slogans complaining over the absence of nominated representatives from areas.

The workers of ruling PTI carried on sloganeering which creates disruption in the ceremony which was held to officially kick-off the much-anticipated cleanliness drive for the metropolis.

Earlier, in his speech, Ali Zaidi shed light on the proceedings and data collection procedures which were necessary prior to initiate the campaign.

“Today, I want to see data of 15,000 volunteers collected so that the cleaning procedures can take place in an improved manner”, he said.

“The drive has been distributed in two phases since the campaign has become enormous after drawing attention of bodies beyond Pakistan”, he added.
