CM Maryam Welcomes PM’s People-Centric and Balanced Budget, Vows to Ensure Benefits Reach All

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has extended her congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his team for unveiling a budget she describes as balanced and designed to serve the people effectively for the fiscal year 2025-26.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Maryam lauded the leadership of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, emphasizing that the budget reflects the party’s core vision under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. She highlighted that this budget is Pakistan’s first to prioritize employees, farmers, industrialists, and the common people, aiming to foster growth and prosperity.  

Maryam expressed confidence that the measures outlined in the budget will support Pakistan in achieving its sustainable development goals and bring happiness and progress to its citizens in the coming year, with Allah’s blessings.  

The Chief Minister reiterated her commitment to ensuring that the benefits of economic advancement reach every citizen and noted that Pakistan has emerged from its economic struggles and is now on a steady path toward growth.  She specifically praised the record allocations for education and healthcare, viewing them as strong indicators of PML-N’s deep connection with the people.  

Furthermore, Maryam Nawaz emphasized the government’s resolve to reduce dependence on the IMF, believing this step will lead to a brighter future for Pakistan.  

She added that the budget offers genuine relief to the middle class, anticipates a further decrease in artificial inflation, and marks the beginning of a journey toward sustainable development.  “Alhamdulillah, the days of ease for our people are upon us,” she conclude
