KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Saturday took notice of medical student’s death in alleged police encounter took place at Anda Mor [round about] in Karachi.
Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Police Amir Sheikh has been directed to submit investigation report of the incident.
CM Murad said that such incidents were not tolerable while responsible persons must be spotted at earliest.
Following the directives, AIG Karachi formed three-member investigation committee that will submit report in three days. The committee will be headed by Deputy Inspector General Criminal Investigation Agency (DIG-CIA) Arif Hanif while other members include SSP Noman Siddiqui and SP Samiullah Soomro.
