Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has said that positivity rate of coronavirus in the province has jumped to 13 percent adding that the situation is difficult but we all are committed joining together ready to face this national challenge.
The CM Punjab presided provincial apex committee meeting for tackle coronavirus wherein corp commanders Lahore Lieutenant General Muahmmad Abdul Aziz, General Officer Commanding 10 division Major General Muhammad Aniq Ur Rehman Malik, DG Rangers Punjab Major General Muhammad Amir Majeed, provincial minister law Raja Basharat, Minister for health Dr Yasmin Rashid, SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan including high civil and military officials were in attendance.
The huddle reviewed measures taken for tackling third wave of coronavirus. While the meeting express grave concerns on rising surge of the virus and rate of deaths while the meeting decided to implement SOPs of coronavirus strictly. The Military leadership ensured comlete support to the civil government. The CM Punjab thanked the military miltary leadership over extending complete cooperation while he said that extra ordinary measures have been taken for tackling the extra ordinary situation adding that political and military leadership are taking measures under coordinated strategy for tackling the coronavirus.
The corps commander Lahore Lieutenant General Muhammad Abdul Aziz said that containing the spread of the global pandemic is a national challenge adding that the army is always ready to assist the civil administration.
He said that we will support the civil government for implementing the coronavirus action plan adding that we are standing with the people in the testing times.
